In keeping with our purpose statement of the Academy, our NAPA Annual Spring CME Conferences provide a loyal and faithful service to the medical profession and to the public by developing and enforcing continuing educational programs for Physician Assistants and the Academy membership. Traditionally, our lectures focus on primary care as well as specialty care topics. Earning Category I CME hours and enjoying the atmosphere with peers in our profession is the focus of the 4-day conference. NAPA strives to maintain a high quality conference including CME, meals, and entertainment at an affordable cost.

    This Year's Activities

    Wednesday Evening Sessions

    Start earning CME hours early! Our lectures will begin at 5 pm and each lecture you attend earns you a chance to win "The Early Bird Award" and a FREE registration to the 2017 or 2018 NAPA Spring CME Conference. The drawing will be held at the conclusion of the 7 p.m. lecture. You must be present to win.

    Welcome Reception

    Join your colleagues at the Welcome Reception beginning at 8 p.m. following the evening lectures. All conference attendees are welcome to enjoy this casual event filled with socializing, appetizers and drinks.

    Thursday CME

    Wake up early to a great full breakfast on NAPA! Enjoy your choice of dual-track lectures offered all day.

    Exhibit Hall

    Pharmaceutical, patient education, and health resource information will be available in the exhibit hall from Thursday at 8 a.m. until Friday at Noon. Back in its fourth year is Passport to Prizes! Plan to check in at the exhibit hall booths, stamp your passport, and be entered into a drawing to win prizes. Specific time is allotted in the schedule on Thursday and Friday to visit the exhibit hall.

    Thursday Morning Workshop

    This 2-hour workshop will feature joint injections of the shoulder, hip and knee. The basic anatomy and indications for joint injections will be covered. There will be time to practice your skills. There is a fee of $20 to attend this workshop and space is limited to 24 participants. Registration is first come, first served. No students, please.

    Thursday Awards Luncheon

    NAPA will recognize this year’s deserving award recipients during this luncheon. This event is for conference attendees only.

    Thursday Dinner & Evening Entertainment

    Join us at 6:30 p.m. for a buffet dinner followed by a motivational presentation by Curt Tomesevicz, a native of Shelby, Nebraska, former Nebraska Cornhusker football player, and Olympic bobsled gold medalist! Conference attendees and their guests are welcome to enjoy this meal and presentation.

    Thursday Evening Student Social

    PA Students are invited to meet and network with students from different programs. Plan to mix and mingle together Thursday evening beginning at 8 p.m.

    Friday CME

    Start your morning off with a buffet breakfast sponsored by NAPA and enjoy dual-track scheduling through mid-afternoon.

    Friday General Membership Meeting & Luncheon

    Plan to attend NAPA's Annual General Membership Meeting to keep up-to-date on what is happening within NAPA and any changes to PA practice in Nebraska. Only NAPA members will have voting privileges at this meeting, but all conference attendees are welcome to enjoy the meal. Winners of the exhibit hall prizes will be announced and PA students will draw winners for the annual raffle at the conclusion of the luncheon.

    Friday Evening SA-CME Workshop

    Join us Friday evening for our first-ever PANCE/PANRE Review. This session will run 4 hours, from 5-9 p.m. and by attending, you will earn 5 hours of Self Assessment CME (SA-CME). You will be awarded a separate CME certificate for this event so you must be present to receive this at the close of the lecture. If you are not in the new 10-year logging cycle yet, you may claim these hours as Category I CME. Plan to join us and save hundreds of dollars on SA-CME! There is no additional fee for attending this workshop! A boxed dinner will be served during the workshop.

    Saturday CME

    Earn more hours of Category I CME on Saturday! New this year - a 7 a.m. lecture. Wrap up the 2016 conference with a chance to win the "Last PA Standing Award." For each lecture you attend, you will receive a chance to enter a drawing for a FREE registration to the 2017 or 2018 NAPA Spring CME Conference. The drawing will be held at the close of the 11 a.m. lecture. You must be present to win. A continental breakfast will be served during the early morning lectures.
