Guidelines for Supervising Agreements Based on the 2009 Legislative Changes.
1. Provides that the supervising physician will exercise supervision over the PA pursuant to the Medicine and Surgery Practice Act and regulations governing PAs. 2. Defines the scope of practice of the PA including any limitations on prescribing authority. 3. Provides that the supervising physician will retain professional and legal responsibility for medical services rendered by the PA pursuant to such agreement. 4. Be sign by both the PA and supervising physician.
